Women in Work exists to unlock the full economic power of women in the workplace - powered by data that makes the invisible visible.

Through the Summit, year-round programming, the WiW GEM report, our LinkedIn partnership and deep annual analysis of UK business, we bring clarity to where progress is happening and where it is falling behind. We elevate the insights, conversations and examples that show what good looks like and spark the change others can follow.

Because when women thrive, businesses are stronger, cultures are healthier, and economies grow.

“I am passionate about all women in the workplace being supported through every stage of their careers. But there are still huge inequities, from the gender pay gap, prohibitive cost of childcare  to a lack of universal menopause support. Women are leaving the office in their droves, and that's a brain drain of talent that businesses can't afford to lose.

My dream is that, in a decade's time, there won't be any need for such a summit, because we'll have finally achieved that golden goal of an equitable and supportive workplace, and quite literally across the board.”

Women in Work at Davos 2025

At Davos this year, women’s inclusion and equity took centre stage, driving key conversations across the summit.

The Goals Dinner, co-hosted by Women in Work, Project Everyone, and UN Women, set the tone for urgent action on gender equity in workplaces and economies.

💡 Key insights included:

  • McKinsey & Company highlighted that closing the gender gap could boost global GDP by $28 trillion.

  • Diane von Furstenberg spoke on the power of resilience and leadership.

  • Octopus Energy shared how gender equity drives business success, with over 50% female leadership and no gender pay gap.

The conversation also put a spotlight on women’s health, with Mount Sinai Health System presenting initiatives to reduce maternal mortality and chronic diseases. Menopause policieswere also in focus, highlighting the need for workplace support.

The takeaway? Collaboration is the key to real change.
